We're looking for a Customer Engagement Manager

About Us

AI Empower Labs is a Swedish startup building AEL Studio, a secure, on‑premise AI Agent platform that lets organisations build and deploy AI agents using their own data. We emphasise privacy (“your data never leaves your possession”), scalable and enterprise‑grade solutions, with containers, RAG, embedded LLMs, function‑calling etc. (aiempowerlabs.com).

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands‑on, technically savvy Customer Engagement Manager who will have a broad mandate. You will both bring in new clients and projects, and manage post‑sales delivery, implementation, and ongoing customer relationships. You will be responsible for ensuring customers derive value, are satisfied, increase their commitments over time, and remain loyal partners.

Depending on experience, this can be a full‑time position or a contract/freelance engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new customer opportunities and projects (sales / business development)
  • Own and lead implementations of sold AI solutions: from scoping, planning, configuration, to deployment and handover
  • Act as primary contact for customers post sale, ensuring excellent onboarding, training, and ongoing support
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships: understand their business, anticipate needs, propose enhancements or upsells
  • Coordinate internally (product/development, engineering, support, marketing) to ensure deliverables meet expectations and issues are resolved swiftly

Desired Background/Qualifications

  • 10+ years in a customer‑facing role in SaaS, AI, or tech solutions (could be Customer Success, Implementation, Solutions, or Sales/Account Manager)
  • Technical literacy: comfortable working with AI/ML concepts (LLMs, RAG, function calling, API integrations), containers, deployment; able to understand technical documentation and orchestrate implementation discussions
  • Strong project management skills: able to juggle multiple customers / projects, set timelines, track deliverables, manage risk
  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal; able to explain technical ideas to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Business acumen: able to assess business value, ROI, negotiate contracts, spot upsell opportunities
  • Self‐starter, able to work independently and adapt in a fast‑moving startup environment
  • Bonus: experience with on‑premise or containerized software deployments; experience in AI agent / LLM / prompt engineering; knowledge of GDPR / data privacy / security concerns
